Barcelona to Celebrate Contemporary Dance
People interested in contemporary dance and its many forms should pay a visit to Barcelona this year for the Dies de Dansa festival.
This international event is an annual project held in Barcelona that explores and interprets contemporary dance in an urban setting.
For four days from July 10th to 14th, the buildings, streets, parks and squares of Barcelona will be given a new sense of life through dance shows and other displays of physical expression.
The festival was founded with several purposes, including the generation of debate with regards to public spaces and the creation of a new perspective on common urban structures.
Dies de Dansa has been held in the city of Barcelona every year since 1992.
It is part of the GREC Summer Festival, which will include a number of other events and cultural activities for people staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona to experience over the coming months.
