Barcelona Ventures into Creative Voids
Barcelona will be exploring some deep and interesting areas of creativity this year when it hosts an exhibition called Creative Voids.
This display, which people staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona can find at the Museu de les Arts Decoratives, takes on the idea that emptiness can often be a creative element in fields such as music and industrial design.
Some 120 exhibition pieces will be included in the show, which will run until May 4th, to make visitors think about the nature of emptiness or vacuums and the meaning and value that the concept can have.
Issues will be explored from the concept of horror vacui - the theory concerning fear of empty spaces - to the use of anatomic moulds.
The relationship between matter and non-matter, empty and full will be considered in context of fields ranging from fine art, architecture and design to natural sciences and industrial engineering.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona can find the Museu de les Arts Decoratives on Avinguda Diagonal in Les Corts.
