Benicassim to Get Spain Jumping
The sun-soaked eastern coast of Spain will become one of the coolest places on the planet in July when it hosts the Benicassim festival.
Some of the biggest bands in contemporary music will head to the Valencia region from July 16th to 19th for Benicassim.
Mystery Jets, Glasvegas and Gang of Four will be among the acts getting the festival underway on the first day, which will be headlined by rock and roll giants Oasis.
Travellers staying in cheap hotels in Valencia will have the opportunity to see Paul Weller, Maximo Park and Kings of Leon at the top of the bill on July 17th, followed by Elbow, Lily Allen and Franz Ferdinand the following day.
The Killers will be the headline act on the final day of the festival, which will also feature Friendly Fires, Pete Doherty and the Psychedelic Furs.
Benicassim has been part of Spain's live music scene since 1994 and over the past 15 years has hosted live performances by the Stone Roses, the Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, Leonard Cohen and countless others.
