Boogie Time in Barcelona

Boogie time in Barcelona Music lovers can combine their passion for the art form with a trip to one of Europe's mot beautiful cities in November as Barcelona hosts its annual record collector's fair.

Previously held in the Fira de Barcelona, the expo– known locally as the Fira del Disc de Collecionista – has migrated to the city's Palau Sant Jordi arena.

One of the biggest fairs of its kind in Europe, the event regularly sells over two million records, tapes, CDs and books.

The more discerning music fans out there may want to get their hands on some slightly more exclusive items, so should make sure they make it to one of the auctions, where they can bid for lots that have included clothes worn by famous musicians and even strands of hair in the past.

Barcelona's Palau Sant Jordi is situated in one of the cities busiest areas, close to a selection of cheap hotels and the bustling Placa d'Espanya.

This area is home to the stunning obelisks that were built for the 1929 International Exhibition in the Catalan capital.
