CCCB Starts New Barcelona Tour
The Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB) is offering visitors an opportunity to experience some unknown parts of the city with new urban tours.
A programme of seven tours around the city, called 'Barcelona. Ciutat, ciutats', commenced on October 20th.
The different routes will take people around both well-known and obscure parts of Barcelona and its surrounding areas, with an emphasis on the recent transformation of the city and the historic evolution of the Catalonia region.
A wealth of information and detail will be offered on areas such as the Ribera, Raval, the Quadrat d'Or and the Besos and Llobregat rivers.
The tours will focus on the challenges that Barcelona faces today, development of the metropolitan area, social cohesion, culture, the environment and other issues.
People staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona will be able to take part in the tours up until May 24th next year.
