Check out Barca in the Derby
FC Barcelona's 2007-08 season will, as ever, be littered with massive games, from their Champions League match against Rangers on October 23rd to the renewal of their deadly rivalry with Real Madrid on December 23rd.
Another highlight in Barca's season is the local derby against Espanyol, the team with which they share the glorious Spanish city.
Ronaldinho and his pals travel to the Olympic Stadium to meet their local rivals on December 2nd and Barca fans will be hoping that their heroes will have wrenched their shooting boots on by then.
Well known as an exciting and free-scoring side, the Catalan giants have played three matches so far in the Primera Liga and have drawn 0-0 in two of them.
There has also been troubling talk that star man Ronaldinho could be unhappy at Barcelona and may be considering a move to another club.
The brilliant Brazilian looks set to stay put for the moment though, so any admirers of Spanish football who book a cheap hotel in Barcelona to catch this derby can look forward to watching the wizard at work.
Espanyol have been stuck with the role of Barcelona's 'second club' for many years now, but with a win a loss and a draw from their first three games of the season, they are currently only a point behind their giant neighbours.
