Sports fans staying in cheap hotels in Valencia this April will have the option of visiting the coastal town of Denia to see a major golf tournament being played out.
The Ladies' European Nations Cup will come to Denia's La Sella golf club from April 23rd to 26th this year.
Some of the world's leading women golfers feature in this tournament, with the two best players from 20 different European countries picked to take part.
The 40 participants compete in two different sections – Four-Ball and Valencian Cup.
In the first category, players go up against each other in a best-ball doubles competition, while the second section is similar to the Greensome Chapman system, whereby players swap shots according to the par of the hole.
Denia is a picturesque tourist town situated on the coast approximately halfway between Alicante and Valencia.
One of the most popular local attractions is an old ruined fort that stands in the centre of the town and overlooks the sea and the harbour.
