The Spanish city of Valencia will turn into a hive of cultural activity in a couple of months' time when it hosts the International Youth Film Festival.
Dedicated to work by filmmakers under 35 years of age, the festival will come to the popular holiday city on Spain's east coast from June 20th to 27th.
The event is particularly well-known across Europe as a showcase for short films and a platform for up-and-coming talents in the film industry.
People staying in cheap hotels in Valencia will notice a number of activities taking place around the city during the festival, including screenings, retrospectives, exhibitions and book presentations.
This year's edition of the International Youth Film Festival will mark its 15th outing in Valencia, having been held in the city every year since 1995.
As well as being a cultural hub, Valencia is known as a sporting hotspot, with events including the Formula One Grand Prix of Europe and two America's Cup pre-regattas set to be held in the city this year.
