Espanyol Prepare for Bilbao Clash

Espanyol prepare for Bilbao clash Espanyol, Barcelona's lesser known football team, are preparing for an important game with Athletico Bilbao.

Anyone visiting Barcelona this weekend might still be able to pick up a ticket for the Sunday afternoon match.

Espanyol currently sit in fifth place in La Liga and will fancy their chances against Bilbao, who are down in 11th.

A trip to their stadium is well worth it because, as well as taking in a top flight Spanish football match, visitors will also get the chance to see the stadium used for the 1992 Olympics, which is now Espanyol's home.

With various low cost airlines serving Barcelona from Stansted, Gatwick and other British airports, it has never been easier for football fans to throw in a foreign trip to the annual round of live games.

Barcelona is also stocked with plenty of cheap hotels and a vibrant night life making it extremely popular for short breaks.

Espanyol tickets are usually easier to come by than those for Barcelona games.
