Focus on Hocus Pocus
Lovers of all things mystical and magical will be enchanted by the Hocus Pocus festival, which imbues the Spanish city of Granada with a sense of wonder every November.
Events are organised for members of the public staying in cheap hotels in the city as well as professional practitioners from the magic world.
Naturally magic shows, known as Hocus Nights, are one of the main attractions, but there are also lectures and workshops throughout Granada for those who want to learn more about the mysterious pastime.
This year magicians from Italy, Spain, England and France are set to perform at the festival.
Granada is situated in south central Spain, in the country's Andalucia region, close to the popular holiday resort of Malaga.
It is well-known for its rich architectural heritage, with structures such as the Alhambra and the Generalife on the Unesco World Heritage Site list.
