Formula for Fun in Barcelona
Motorsport fans staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona in a couple of months' time will be in for a treat as the Formula One World Championship roars into town.
Spain's Grand Prix takes place at the Circuit de Catalunya on April 27th and will be the fourth race in the season.
The Barcelona track is the third location to have held the Spanish Grand Prix and one of the most exciting, with long straights and tight corners that have produced plenty of nail-biting moments over the years.
Last year's race was won by Brazilian Felipe Massa although the cheers from the crowd this year will mostly be for Spanish driver Fernando Alonso.
The Grand Prix will provide an opportunity for people staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona to take a short trip out of the city, as it is held in Montmelo, to the north of the Catalan capital.
It will follow the opening races of the season in Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur and Bahrain and precede the meetings in Istanbul and Monte Carlo in May.
