Franz Ferdinand Head to Madrid

Franz Ferdinand head to Madrid Fans of Franz Ferdinand will be able to see the Scottish rockers live in Madrid in April.

The popular four-piece will provide entertainment for people staying in cheap hotels in Madrid when they perform at the Palacio de Deportes on April 3rd with support from Swedish group Mando Diao.

This show is part of a tour that is being launched to support the release of Franz Ferdinand's third album Tonight, which came out on January 27th.

Getting underway in London on February 26th, the tour will visit cities including Dublin (March 1st), Manchester (March 6th), Paris (March 17th, 18th) and Milan (March 30th) before winding up in Spain.

Franz Ferdinand shot to fame in 2004 when their single Take Me Out climbed to third position in the UK charts.

The self-titled album from which the single was taken won the Mercury Music Prize and was followed by You Could Have Had It So Much Better, which was the band's first number one record in the UK.
