Get to Know Chaplin in Barcelona
He is one of the best known and most recognisable film stars in the history of the industry, but Charlie Chaplin is still a largely unknown quantity to many people.
This is a fact that could be changed over the coming months as people staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona visit the city's exhibition exploring the life of the silent star.
Visitors who head to the CaixaForum before March 23rd next year will be able to explore a showcase including more than 300 documents and pictures from family archives.
The exposition is part of a trend among major European museums to dedicate exhibition space to some of the most important figures in the film world, including Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch.
Sam Storidze, curator of the Chaplin display, said: "With this exhibition, we have achieved something unusual - that people laugh in a museum."
Chaplin, arguably the most famous of all the actors of the silent film era, was best known for his character 'the tramp', who first appeared in 1914.
