Grab Good Grub at O Grove

Grab good grub at O Grove Seafood lovers will have a great reason to head to Spain in October when O Grove hosts the O Grove seafood festival.

The town is a seafood paradise on a small peninsula, situated on the Galician Atlantic coast between Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, with every October seeing the wares of this larder of the sea revealed in their full finery.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the area can munch through plenty of crab, oysters, fish, lobsters and probably a few rather less familiar dishes.

In addition to the chance to grab some crab, the area has fine beaches, a varied coastline and of course fine views across the vast blue sea.

Santiago de Compostela, lying a short distance to the north, was European City of Culture in 2000 and is famous for its monuments and buildings.

As well as holding United Nations world heritage site status, the heart of the city lies at the end of the popular Way of St James pilgrimage route which concludes at the city's cathedral.
