Jazz Lovers Jump for Joy
Barcelona is obviously the place to be for jazz lovers this autumn as there will be an entire festival dedicated to the genre from October to December.
In addition to a performance by Sonny Rollins this year, the city's Palau de la Musica is hosting the International Jazz Festival, one of Europe's longest-running and most well-respected events.
Revellers will be able to enjoy a range of styles of their favourite musical genre, from big bands and bebop to gospel and Latin jazz.
Among the masters of the art who will be entertaining the crowds this year are Jamie Cullum, Madeleine Peyroux, the Big Band de Badalona and the Christian McBride quartet.
In addition to the music there will be workshops and classes teaching jazz enthusiasts all they need to know about the dynamic genre.
