Leandro Erlich Work on Show in Madrid

Leandro Erlich work on show in Madrid Visitors to Madrid will be able to introduce themselves to a new level of perception at an exhibition of work by the experimental visual artist Leandro Erlich.

An installation entitled La Torre, or The Tower, will be open at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid until June 1st.

Through his innovative work, Erlich questions the viewer's perception of reality by playing with seemingly ordinary situations and places to make them seem strange and alien.

La Torre, the artist's first solo exhibition in Spain, takes the form of a tall building decorated like a block of flats, complete with windows and corridors, with a mirror device to alter perspectives.

Visitors will be able to look through windows at other people who appear to be floating in mid-air before going in themselves to experience the sensation of being suspended in space.

From April 22nd this year, people staying in cheap hotels in Madrid will be able to see a retrospective dedicated to the sculptor Juan Munoz at the Museo Reina Sofia.
