MotoGP to Race into Valencia

Fans of the high-octane speed, thrills and spills of MotoGP may wish to head to Valencia this October, to check out the last and possibly deciding race in the calendar.

Taking place on October 29th 2006, the event will see Hayden, Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi and the other big names battle it out at the Circuito de la Communitat Valenciana.

Completed in 1999, the track has held MotoGP and Spanish Motorcycle Championships since it was created on the four kilometre course.

Although the track is small by racing standards, the stadium style grandstands can accommodate some 150,000 visitors, while the layout allows all parts of the circuit to be seen from any point in the stands.

Organisers believe that this feature helps to create a "unique atmosphere" which the riders enjoy, while as the race is the last of the season, a party atmosphere is present among professionals and spectators alike.
