New Exhibition Launched at Barcelona History Museum

New exhibition launched at Barcelona History Museum Travellers staying in cheap hotels in Barcelona over the coming months will be able to visit a recently launched exhibition at the city's History Museum.

Barcelona-Madrid: 40 Years of Resident Action will be open at the cultural institute until February 1st 2010.

Developed by the two cities' respective resident associations, the display tells the story of some of the urban struggles that have influenced their neighbourhoods and shaped their cultures.

Visitors will be able to learn about various subjects relating to the development of Barcelona and Madrid as major cities, including urban planning, public services, amenities and democracy.

The exhibition is currently based at the Santa Agata chapel at the Barcelona History Museum, which is located in Placa Rei in the Ciutat Vella area of the city.

After running at the museum, the show will be taken on a tour of Barcelona's districts, giving visitors and residents in all parts of the city the chance to see it.
