Ocean Joy in Valencia

Ocean joy in Valencia Visitors to Valencia can now experience an exciting trip though the world's oceans at the new Oceanographic, Europe's largest marine park.

Built on the site of City of Arts and Sciences, which already houses a science museum, planetarium and botanical garden, the new attraction is home to 500 species of fish, marine mammals and invertebrates.

The Mediterranean area boats seven aquariums inhibited by rays, moray eels and scorpion fish and features a contact pool where visitors can get up close and personal with some of the fish.

The temperate zone is home to giant crabs, seals and other such creatures, while the Oceans area houses a variety of sharks which swim over tourists heads in large viewing tunnels. There is also an Atlantic zone which showcases the wonderful sea creatures that can be found between the Canaries and Bermuda.

An underwater auditorium and an amazing dolphinarium with daily shows combine to make the Oceanographic a great family day out.

Visitors should make sure they book into one of the city's many cheap hotels and leave themselves plenty of time to explore the rest of Valencia.
