Seville's Fantastic Flamenco Festival

Set in the heart of Andalusia, Seville is set to once again host its annual celebration of traditional dancing, the Flamenco Biennal.

The event, which has been hosted in the city since 1980, was originally created as a means of letting people from all over the world participate in the celebration of the flamboyant dancing style.

From September 13th to October 15th 2006, this year's incarnation intends to be no different, with events in dance, singing and guitar held around the city in open-air and more sheltered venues.

Seville itself offers visitors a location steeped in history and courted by vineyards and olive groves.

The city also has a modern infrastructure, which supports what the tourist boards describe as the "generous gastronomy and rural charm" of the location.
