Spain to Face Turkey in Madrid

Spain to face Turkey in Madrid The national football sides of Spain and Turkey will go head-to-head in a 2010 World Cup qualifying match in March, meaning people staying in cheap hotels in Madrid will have the chance to enjoy some world-class sporting action.

Spain will host the visiting side at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the home of reigning Primera Liga champions Real Madrid.

Winning all four of their qualifying games so far, Spain have shown that they may have achieved some consistency in their performances following their success at Euro 2008.

The game against Turkey will arguably be one of the toughest of the qualification campaign for Vicente del Bosque's men, as the visitors are currently second in Group Five and also have their eyes on a spot in the World Cup finals in 2010.

Following the game in Madrid on March 28th, both sides will travel to Istanbul to play the reverse fixture, with Turkey enjoying the home advantage.

Spain will have two more qualifying fixtures at home before the end of the year – against Belgium on September 5th and Estonia on September 9th.
