Wow For WOMAD
Those who love their music festivals will be able to combine it with a bit of sun at the WOMAD festival at the Parque de Santa Catalina in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
Held from November 9th to the 12th, the festival is true to its name – an acronym of world arts music and dance – with plenty of these in evidence in Las Palmas as WOMAD seeks to fulfill its mission statement of exciting, informing and creating awareness of the worth and potential of a multicultural society.
Visitors to the Canary Islands will find plenty more to entertain them apart from the festival.
Enjoying year-round sunshine, the islands offer beaches, legendary nightlife, unusual plants and animals, plus some spectacular volcanic landscapes.
