Discover Ingmar Bergman in Stockholm
People with an interest in the history of cinema will know the name Ingmar Bergman, and will be offered a fascinating insight into the life and work of the filmmaker in Stockholm over the coming months.
Until January 18th, the Swedish capital's Nobel Museum will present a photographic exhibition featuring many images that have never been seen before.
The pictures were taken by seven photographers who followed Bergman during his career as a theatre and film director.
One part of the exhibition will focus on Bergman's theatre versions of plays by Nobel laureates, while there will also be displays of unique material from the productions of some of his films.
People staying in cheap hotels in Stockholm who visit the exhibition will be offered a unique insight into the work of this great director, who died in 2007.
The Nobel Museum, which is located in one of the Swedish capital's most beautiful 18th century buildings, also gives visitors the chance to learn more about the Nobel Prize and its founder, Alfred Nobel.
