Guns N' Roses to Rock Stockholm

Legendary rockers Guns n' Roses are set to pack out Stockholm's Globe Arena on the June 26th 2006 as a fore-runner to the long awaited launch of their new album.

Chinese Democracy, the band's latest offering, may still be months away from release, but the concert in Sweden has already sold out along with many other dates in their European tour.

Speaking on the new album, which will be the first released in 12 years, lead singer and only original band-member Axl Rose said that he was attempting to create a different sound.

"I’m trying to do something different," he said.

"Some of the arrangements are kind of like Queen."

"You’ll like at least a few songs on there," he added.

Although iconic rockers and popular worldwide, the band have encountered many difficulties.

The group's last album, The Spaghetti Incident, was greeted with decidedly lukewarm reviews, which was followed in 1995 by guitarist Slash quitting the band.
