Jazz Sounds to Stimulate Stockholm
Stockholm will once again dedicate itself to the celebration of jazz this summer.
The Stockholm Jazz Festival will take place on the island of Skeppsholmen in the heart of the city on July 16th-19th and will this year celebrate its 25th anniversary.
More than 30 different artists will perform from early afternoon until midnight during the four-day festival, presenting their musical flavours and inflections on five different stages.
Swedish TV and radio will cover the event and some 25,000 people are expected to enjoy the celebrations.
The Stockholm Jazz Festival is one of the oldest entertainment events in Sweden and also one of the capital's biggest cultural occasions.
Stockholm is one of Europe's most interesting capitals in geographical terms, as it is located on Sweden's east coast, where Lake Malaren meets the Baltic Sea, and its central areas consist of 14 separate islands.
