Right Said Hultsfred

For most Englishmen, Sweden might put them in mind of a potentially tricky World Cup fixture in the near future, but Sweden's top rock event, the Hultsfred Rock Festival, is also taking place this weekend.

The largest music festival in the country, Hultsfred takes place from June 15th to 17th 2006, featuring a line-up of high-profile European and US musicians.

Originally taking place in 1986, the festival has features luminaries such as Black Sabbath, Bjork, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Ramones, Iggy Pop and Motorhead.

UK acts will take also centre stage at the 2006 event, with Pete Doherty's Babyshambles and the Editors playing their distinctive sound.

However US acts Korn, Pharrell, The Srokes, Deftones will be headlining, backed up by Sweden's own The Cardigans.

June is the season of music festivals around Europe, as Portugal's Superbock Superrock, Estonia's Rabarock are also occurring at the same time, giving fans the opportunity to keep on rocking.
