Cheap Hotels in Stockholm - News

Take Stock

Take Stock Visitors to Sweden could barely pick a better time to be in Stockholm than between June 1st and 6th of June as a double celebration takes place.

The city starts off by dishing up a culinary treat in the Kungstardgarden, a large park in the heart of the city, where restaurants from all over town contribute to a vast cornucopia of dishes to suit every palate.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels will be able to eat to their hearts content while enjoying a glass of beer or cider and listening to live music and other entertainment, all this and the festival is free.

To cap it all, June 6th is Sweden's National Day, a public holiday which has plenty of flag-waving, speeches and patriotism, plus the bonus that the Swedish royal family will make an appearance in the city, joining a procession to the island of Djurgarden with its royal park.
