Wave a Swede Goodbye to the Diet
Chocoholics may be drooling at the news that Stockholm's Chocolate Festival will be taking place between October 13th and 15th 2007.
This x-rated event (from the point of view of Weight Watchers, at least) will be taking place in the Nordiska Museet, Sweden's national museum of cultural history.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the Swedish capital will be able to not just enjoy tasting a waistline-wrecking cornucopia of confectionary, but also see all kinds of demonstrations of the art of chocolate making.
Talking of chocolate and art, artists Sid Chidiac has revealed on his website that he will be at the event, producing paintings actually made from chocolate, which will give any buyers the dilemma of whether to hang it up or eat it.
In addition to the festival, chocaholics will be able to see many other attractions in the city.
These include many interesting buildings, varying from the Storkyran Cathedral to the Royal Swedish Opera building, from Stockholm Palace to the historic 1912 Olympic stadium.
Stockholm is easy to get round by public transport, although in the circumstances burning a few calories by walking around may be a good idea.
