Music lovers who fancy spending some summer holiday time in Switzerland could find the ideal time and place to be St Gallen at the end of June.
From June 29th to July 1st, Openair St Gallen will be offering a huge al fresco festival of music featuring some of the biggest bands around.
Organisers have confirmed that this year's line-up will include Snow Patrol, the Arctic Monkeys and the Kaiser Chiefs, with a three-day pass to the event costing CHF144 (£59.62).
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in St Gallen can also enjoy plenty of other attractions in the city.
St Gallen is famous for the historic Abbey from which it takes its name, a spectacular baroque building with a library hosting a vast treasure trove of ancient books and manuscripts.
It also acts as a gateway to the mountainous Appenzell area of eastern Switzerland.
