Geneva Hosts Open Air Art Workshop

Geneva hosts open air art workshop Those with a creative streak should pick up their easels and paint brushes and head to Geneva this September.

The Swiss capital will be holding the world's largest open-air painting workshop, named Air'Air.

Amateur, semi-amateur and professional painters will be scattered all over the city for this annual competition.

Lat year, around 350 budding and established artists demonstrated their talents in five different locations around Geneva.

Anyone is welcome to participate in the competition and artists can select from a variety of mediums, including watercolour and pastels to acrylics and oils.

On the Saturday morning the artists will take to the streets to depict five famous places in and around the city, including the lakeside, the Ile Rousseau and the old town.

The final works will be judged on the Sunday in the Plainpalais, where prizes will be awarded to the artists that manage to best encapsulate the charms of Geneva.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of an artist, why not enter the competition and use this opportunity to stay in one of the many hotels in Geneva.
