See Skiers Showing off in St Moritz

See skiers showing off in St Moritz It has become something of a Christmas tradition in the Swiss ski resort of St Moritz for skiers to get on the famous ski jump and show off their skills.

Locals and visitors enjoying a stay in a hotel in St Moritz have turned out on Boxing Day every year for 90 years to enjoy a day of ski jumping.

The occasion is particularly impressive owing to the resort's famous ski jump, which enables some serious showing off on the part of the skiers.

Having hosted the Winter Olympics in 1928 and 1948, St Moritz has the facilities to accommodate a range of activities.

The resort is one of only three cities in the world to have held the Winter Olympics twice. It also provided the venue for the 1934, 1974 and 2003 Alpine Skiing World Championships.

In addition to the winter sports facilities, the town boasts tourist attractions including a museum dedicated to painter Giovanni Segantini and various points offering views of its glacial landscape.
