Swiss Service

Swiss service Tennis fans will be able to discover that there's more to tennis in Switzerland than Roger Federer when the womens' Zurich Open Championship takes place between October the 5th and 21st 2007.

Held on the indoor courts of the Hallenstadion, the event regularly features some of the biggest names in female tennis, with Swiss star Martina Hingis confirmed in this year's line up alongside Justine Henin, Ana Ivanovic and last year's winner Maria Sharapova.

Last year's tournament provided a glimpse at the status of the event, with other big names taking part including finalist Daniela Hantuchova, Jelena Jankovic, Mary Pierce and 2006 Wimbledon champion Annelie Mauresmo.

Organisers have set ticket prices between 39 and 129 Swiss Francs (£53), depending on the round and the category, with the top price being for the best seats in the final.

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, with many historic buildings and an attractive setting by the banks of Lake Zurich.

It has plenty of accommodation for visitors, including cheap hotels.
