Thailand Creates Online Radio Station for Dogs

Thailand creates online radio station for dogs A Thai entrepreneur has announced the launch of the world's first internet radio station for dogs.

The website, DogRadioThailand, features barking DJs playing instrumental and vocal music around the clock.

Owner Anupan Boonchuen, director of a dog grooming school, said that he launched the radio station in order to improve the mood of the dogs that he grooms.

"I've noticed that dogs often respond to music. Some wag their tails. Some lift their heads while lying on the floor," he remarked.

He went on to say that the groomers have noticed that when the music is turned on, the dogs' mood improves.

Mr Booncheun said that he plans to expand the station so that the DJs talk to the dogs in Thai and the dogs will be encouraged to respond.

"The DJs may have to make different sounds, such as whining or barking, to match the mood of music they play," concluded Mr Boonchuen.
