Thailand Set for Siam Flora Festival
This October will see Thailand host the fourth Siam Flora Festival at the MCC Hall in Bangkok's Mall Bangkae.
Between October 24th and November 2nd, the event will display a range of tropical flora in honour of Thailand's Queen - HRH Princess Soamsavali Kitiyakara.
Those who stay in a cheap hotel in Thailand can take in the displays, which themselves will be competing to be the best in their category, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand's website.
The competitions will range over seven broad areas, which include Bonsai, Impala Lily and Frangipani.
In addition, the tourist authority also states that there will be over 60 plant species on display during the festival that have only recently been discovered.
Entry prices to the festival are set at 30 baht (46p). However, some of the proceeds will go to the Princess Pa Foundation, Thai Red Cross Society.
Doors to the festival will open at 10:00 local time and close at 21:00 local time.
Bangkok was established as the capital of Thailand in 1782. For those who do decide to visit the city, other highlights that may be of interest include the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
