Book Festival Comes to Dubai
Bookworms are being urged to start booking their cheap hotel in Dubai with the announcement that the country is to hold a literary festival.
The popular holiday spot, best known for its sun soaked beaches and wealth of culture,
will be hosting the event which will be held early next year.
Book fans are urged to book cheap hotels in Dubai from February 25th to March 1st 2009 when "some of the world's most creative literary talent" will be in attendance.
So far, numerous authors and writers have confirmed they will attend the event including Paolo Coelho, English adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Anne Fine.
Also celebrating the festival will be acclaimed children's writers Lynne Truss, Jeremy Strong and Lauren Child.
The event will be sponsored by national airline Emirates.
Mike Simon, Emirates' divisional senior ice president of corporate communications, said: "One of the roles of the airline, from its start-up, has been to promote Dubai as a tourist and commercial destination.
"We believe the festival will help strengthen the literary scene in Dubai, as well as attract visitors from all over the world."
