Climb the World's Tallest Building in Dubai

Climb the world's tallest building in Dubai Holidaymakers staying in cheap hotels in Dubai this year will have a unique opportunity to visit the world's tallest building.

Burj Dubai, which was officially opened to the public today (January 5th), stands at a height of over 800 metres and took 22 million man hours to build.

More than 12,000 people from over 100 countries have been involved in its development and construction over the past six years.

The building represents a "shining example of global collaboration", according to Mohammed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.

He added: "Burj Dubai shows just what can be achieved when people from all over the world come together to strive for a common purpose."

Highlights of the visitor experience at the building include the opportunity to ascend to the 124th floor in one of the world's fastest elevators.

Tourists can then use telescopes offering panoramic views of Dubai or buy souvenirs from the At the Top retail boutique.
