Dubai 'a Top Winter Sun Hotspot'
Travellers looking for a destination that offers some guaranteed winter sun have been advised to consider Dubai.
Flight search engine Skyscanner included the emirate on its list of winter sun hotspots where "snow probably doesn't exist in the local language, let alone on the weather forecast".
People staying in cheap hotels in Dubai can enjoy year-round sunshine but will experience the best weather between November and May.
Skyscanner pointed out that there is snow on offer to people who want it, but only at Ski Dubai, the destination's indoor winter sports dome.
A visit to the emirate this year will also provide the opportunity to see the world's tallest building, which was officially opened earlier this week.
Tourists can take an elevator ride to the top of Burj Dubai, which offers panoramic views across the United Arab Emirates.
Other destinations on Skyscanner's list of the top winter sun hotspots include Mexico, Florida, Thailand and Egypt.
