Dubai Remains an Affordable Destination
Guests staying in cheap hotels in Dubai are able to have an affordable holiday in the emirate despite its status as a premium holiday destination.
This is according to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), which also said that Dubai will never compromise the quality and services of the products it offers.
DTCM director for the UK and Ireland Ian Scott said that many different projects and hotel openings are getting underway in the emirate, which is good news for tourists planning a break it the city.
"It keeps us ahead of the game, keeps people talking about our destination and keeps people coming back because there is always something new," he commented.
Mr Scott went on to say that the Dubai's metro system will become fully open by March next year, while a new spa is opening at the turn of the year.
The UK and Ireland represent the biggest tourism market in Dubai, with the two countries providing over 854,000 visitors in 2008.
