Dubai to Host Festival of Taste
Dubai hotel group Jumeirah has announced that it is to host a Festival of Taste that will take place from May 21st to May 26th.
The event is set to become a biannual food and lifestyle event for Dubai and will feature international celebrity chefs and gourmet nights at the Jumeirah hotel restaurants.
Participating celebrity chefs include Gary Rhodes, James Martin and Jean Christophe Novelli, as well as a host of other chefs from around the world.
Willi Elsener, group director of restaurants and bars for Jumeirah, said: "Dubai has earned its reputation for being a world centre of culinary arts and lifestyle.
"We hope to further enhance this positioning by launching a biannual festival that will tantalise the taste buds of both residents and visitors alike."
Highlights of the event include gourmet nights that will take place at the Jumeira Beach Hotel with Mr Novelli and a cooking class at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality with three celebrity chefs.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a cigar dinner, jazz brunch or fashion tea at the Madinat Jumeira or a caviar and diamond evening at the Burj Al Arab.
