Dubai to Host 'world's Richest Raceday'
People staying in hotels in Dubai at the end of March will be able to experience an event described as the world's richest raceday.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) horse racing season climaxes on March 29th with the Dubai World Cup meeting.
In 2007 the $6 million Dubai World Cup, the race that serves as the highlight of the meeting, was won by the American-trained Invasor.
The Dubai Sheema Classic and the Dubai Duty Free are the event's supporting races, both of which are worth $5 million.
Competitors from the far east have dominated these contests recently, with Vengeance of Rain becoming Hong Kong's first winner in the UAE when he took the Sheema Classic and Admire Moon continuing Japan's domination of global racing with the Duty Free.
People staying in cheap hotels in Dubai can find the World Cup event at the Nad Al Sheba racecourse.
