Dubai to Serve Up Sporting Entertainment
Sports fans staying in cheap hotels in Dubai at the beginning of March will not be short of things to keep them entertained as the emirate hosts its annual tennis tournament.
The Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships 2008 will take place at the city's tennis stadium between February 25th and March 8th.
Top names in the women's game will contest their half of the competition first, between February 25th and March 1st, before the men's tournament gets underway on March 3rd.
While the full line up of players is set to be announced early in January, this event is set to attract some of the top figures in the modern game.
The 2007 championship was graced by the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova and Justine Henin-Hardenne.
When visitors enjoying the luxury of hotels in Dubai aren't busy watching tennis, they can see some of the emirate's many incredible sights, such as the Burj Al Arab hotel and the Palm Jumeirah island.
