Sterling stretches further as customers book cheap hotels in Dubai Holidaymakers who book cheap hotels in Dubai are finding the city more affordable, the Post Office has announced.

The annual Post Office Travel Money report has shown that Dubai is one of the top cities for UK travellers to stretch their money further and enjoy cheaper living costs.

Dubai, Jamaica and Egypt made the top of the list in the Post Office's report, where UK visitors will be able to use the strength of sterling to their advantage. Visitors to Dubai will get 12.6 per cent more United Arab Emirates dirhams to the UK pound than they could last year.

In contrast, Turkey has seen a rise of 44 per cent in the cost of a basket of tourist staples of food and drink, despite its weak currency.

Book a cheap hotel in Dubai and stretch your wallet at the annual Shopping Festival from January 28th until February 28th.
