A Last Night to Remember

A Last Night to remember One of the biggest classical musical events anywhere in the world comes to a spectacular climax with the traditional Last Night of the Proms in London's Royal Albert Hall.

Taking place on September 8th 2007, the event is famous for its fine orchestral quality and flag-waving revelry, as one of Britain's finest institutions opens up to the world and visitors from everywhere join in, with the stirring climax of Jerusalem and Rule Brittania to finish.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in London can get tickets for between £20 and £85, while those who can't get in the Royal Albert Hall can enjoy the al fresco alternative of Proms in the Park, when thousands more will pour into Hyde Park and recreate the atmosphere via the big screen.

The BBC, which is broadcasting the event, states that tickets for the park cost £23.

Classical music fans can enjoy other Proms performances in the days leading up to the last night in the Hall, with the listed orchestras including the Boston Symphony and the Vienna Philharmonic.
