A Man for All Seasons Comes to York

A Man for All Seasons comes to York The York Theatre Royal will present a classic piece of British drama for the entertainment of its visitors this year.

Robert Bolt's A Man for All Seasons will have a short run at the Theatre Royal from June 7th to 28th.

This famous play tells the true story of Thomas More, the 16th century chancellor of England, and his refusal to support or condemn the actions of his king, Henry VIII.

More stepped down from his post as the king's behaviour became increasingly corrupt, which was seen as an act of treason against a monarch who was not known for his mercy.
