A Night of Comedy in York
Holidaymakers staying in cheap hotels in York in September can enjoy a night of stand-up comedy starring some of the most popular acts in the UK.
Among those set for the York Theatre Royal stage in September are former Big Breakfast presenter Paul Tonkinson and Asian comic Paul Sinha.
The event is expected to pull in a large crowd and is one of three similar events being staged at the popular venue this year.
Also performing at the evening of laughter on the 22nd of the month is Edinburgh-based Dougie Dunlop who started his career at the Scottish city's Fringe festival and is now internationally renowned.
Geoff Whiting, a regular at some of the country's biggest comedy venues such as The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cafe and Jongleurs will compere the event.
As well as nights of entertainment, the York Theatre Royal also hosts numerous courses and in August will welcome BBC Radio 4 writer Susan Sterns to give attendees some top tips on creative writing.
