'Allo 'Allo Comes to York Stage
Fans of the popular BBC sitcom 'Allo 'Allo can see how the show fares in theatre format this year as it takes to the stage in York.
A new production of 'Allo 'Allo will come to the city's Grand Opera House from September 15th-17th and will feature original star Vicki Michelle alongside Jeffrey Holland.
'Allo 'Allo centres on Rene, a hapless cafe owner living in occupied France during the Second World War.
The play follows Rene and his wife Edith as they struggle to keep possession of a priceless portrait hidden in their cellar.
That is not the last of the cafe owner's problems, however, as he is also forced to help the French Resistance return two British airmen to England while attempting to hide his affairs with two waitresses from his wife.
People staying in cheap hotels in York will be able to see a number of comedy shows at the Grand Opera House in September, including The Mighty Boosh live between September 22nd and 25th.
