Biggin It Up

Biggin it up For those who love aircraft, the Biggin Hill Airshow could be a highlight of the English summer as planes both old and new take to the skies.

Held at the famous Battle of Britain airbase in Kent, the event takes place on June 2nd and 3rd 2007.

One of the highlights is the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, featuring the Spitfire and Hurricane fighter planes either side of a Lancaster Bomber.

Other attractions scheduled to take part include the Red Arrows aerobatics team, the Blue Eagles helicopter display team and civilian craft such as the Swift Glider.

Meanwhile, there are numerous attractions on the ground, such as a vintage car display and lots of childrens' activities.

Advance tickets for the event, which are cheaper than paying on the gate, are priced at £16.50 for adults, £5.50 for children and £36 for a family of two adults and three children.

Biggin Hill lies on the southern edge of Greater London in an area with plenty of cheap hotels.
