Book a Cheap Hotel in Manchester for Mamet Play

Book a cheap hotel in Manchester for Mamet play People who book a cheap hotel in Manchester this month might be interested in spending the night at the theatre as David Mamet's masterpiece Glengarry Glen Ross comes to the stage.

Showing at the Library Theatre, Manchester's resident company will play the desperate salesmen until April 3rd.

Directed by Chris Honer, the performance tells the story of four real estate agents, fighting for a sale in order to keep their jobs.

The agent who sells the most wins a Cadillac, the American Dream, the second wins some steak knives and the others get the sack.

One man, Shelley Levene, who is close to retirement, must compete against the best salesman around, Ricky Roma, or he will lose everything.

Mamet's play won a Pulitzer Prize when it was first performed in 1984 and it became well-known for the film adaptation featuring Jack Lemmon and Al Pacino in the lead roles.

Visitors to the show are advised that the play, in true Mamet style, has very strong language.
