Carmen Enjoy

Carmen enjoy The Welsh National Opera (WNO) spring tour takes in many venues all over Britain, but visitors to Wales itself will get the chance to both enjoy a slice of high culture and revel in the beautiful surroundings.

Early April sees the tour back in the land of its fathers with for nights in Swansea, with Madame Butterfly lined up for April 3rd and 5th, while Carmen is performed on the 4th, according to the WNO website.

The Swansea venue is the Grand Theatre in Singleton Street, where performances start at 19.15 BST.

Apart from the opera, there are many things to do in and around Swansea.

Chief among these is a visit to the Gower Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty famous for its fine beaches, rugged coastline, varied wildlife and rich human history, with many old castles and settlements dating back into prehistory.

The area has plenty of accommodation, including cheap hotels.
