Carmen see for yourself She is perhaps one of the best-known temptresses in the history of the arts and Bizet's Carmen is set to lure even more admirers when she enjoys a new season at the London Coliseum this autumn.

The seductive siren will be working her charms at the London Coliseum until November 23rd, with mezzo-soprano Alice Coote playing the title role.

A new cast and a newly-installed music director will invigorate this tragic tale of passion and obsession once again for thousands of new viewers.

And those operaphobics who have been put off by foreign language performances in the past may want to book a cheap hotel in London and give this show a try, as it is sung in a specially-commissioned English translation.

Carmen tells the story of a beautiful gypsy woman who seduces many men, later destroying them when she finds another poor chap on whom to lavish her affections.

This new production of the classic tale takes place at the London Coliseum, close to Leicester Square and Covent Garden in the heart of London's West End.
